Overview: The Automotive Technology program offers Wolf Creek Job Corps students the opportunity to be enrolled at Umpqua Community College and Wolf Creek Job Corps. The students reside at Wolf Creek and are bussed to and from the college for classes.

There are four automotive programs offered at Umpqua Community College. They are:
  • Automotive Technology Associate of Applied Science.
  • Automotive Technology, one-year certificate program.
  • Automotive Toyota Specific Training Associate of Applied Science.
  • Automotive Specialist, Brakes & Alignment, Tune-Up, Certificate of Completion.

Wolf Creek Job Corps advisor, Fred Pietrzak, is located on the Umpqua Community College campus. Fred works with students to assist them in removing barriers to their successful completion of classes. He links them with college and Wolf Creek Job Corps resources.

TARS: Training achievement records are not used in the college program. This program uses the traditional college educational program to assess achievement. Students are graded in each class and those grades are recorded in a college transcript.

Enrollment: 14 students

Tools: Umpqua Community College has a full service automotive shop on campus. Students have access to all of the mechanical tools needed by an automotive technician.
