The overall philosophy of Wolf Creek is that from the day a student arrives on center, all training focuses on job readiness. The Life Skills Department is a group of health and wellness specialist that focus on skills and services needed to ensure that the mind and body are ready to work. The Life Skills concept includes staff from varying backgrounds: nurses, counselors, a drug and alcohol specialist, a doctor, a dentist, and a mental health consultant. Their primary emphasis is to teach both mental and physical self care skills so that lost time on the job is minimized. They also work to resolve any health care issues. A sound mind and body is critical to being a successful employee.
